Lovely place to stay and very friendly helpful staff . The pool was a great bonus. A little disappointed that the nearby pub was closed as this was one of the reasons we booked the property so we could walk to get food in an evening without having to drive. Cant be predicted or helped I suppose, but we were disappointed. The hottub was clean and checked daily, however there was only one corner working when the jets were switched on. Overall it was a really nice stay and very clean.
The pictures, do not do 9 Swandown justice, it is decorated beautifully and spacious throughout. The lodge is stocked with everything you would need, as a home anway from home, for your time away. Being able to book the pool for private use each day was an added bonus and the honesty shop, games and book borrowing library are a great idea. We would highly recommend Swandown to anyone with or without children and look forward to returning in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was great. Great location and loved having a pool that we could book to have by ourselves. The hot tub was amazing with a great view. The only downside was one of the owned lodges and he didnt like dogs and got very nasty towards me on the first day so wasnt a great start. Helen was great dealing with the situation. Will definitely visit again but maybe in another lodge.
We arrived on Friday afternoon, on that evening we discovered that the DVD did not work due to faulty cable and also, that the heating in the bedroom was set so high we found it very difficult to sleep we followed the instructions to turn it down to no avail and in the end had to open several windows. These two issues were quickly resolved the next morning thanks to the efficient onsite management team, unfortunately they were unable to resolve the issue with the hot tub which was not working we had booked this accommodation based on the fact it had a hot tub and were disappointed to find it was unusable. We discussed this with the management team with regard to obtaining compensation not unreasonable we thought, as we had paid 820 for a week in January, we were told that all the lodges were individually owned and although they had contacted the owner he had not replied. We have not heard from either the owner or the management team and therefore would have to say we would not book this accommodation again or recommend it to anyone else.

The lodge itself is comfortable and surrounded by lovely grounds. However we booked because of the private outdoor hot tub but the jets didnt work. What tainted our stay was the frustration that there was no attempt to get an engineer to repair despite raising the issue on our arrival day and repeatedly the next 2 days. Sykes abdicated all responsibility even though we were not able to contact the owner directly and the owner refused any compensation.

An absolutely lovely lodge, everything you could possible need. Furniture, linen in fact everything of a very high standard. In a great setting. Staff very accommodating. A great stay.
We have stayed at Swandown three times, and in this lodge twice. It is beautifully situated, and well equipped. It is in one of the premier positions. Everything worked, although we failed to get the best from the smart tv. Probably our fault! The welcome pack was welcome and useful. We would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone.

Our stay was fantastic. The property and site was very clean and in a beautiful location. The small swimming pool was a bonus and you can book for 40 mins everyday for your own family use, the hot tub was treated every day and the onsite manager was great.

Hot tub old and tired. Only half the jets work at any time and about 13 of the nozzles have fallen off or come off in your hand. Basically needs replacing. Had a mouse. It arrived on the Sat night. It was caught on the Wed night. The use of an antique trap by the maintenance team didn't help. Swimming pool cloudy couldn't see the bottom. Booking system for the pool was abused by other guestsproperty owners.

We had a lovely stay at Swandown and stayed in number 9. It is a beautiful property in a lovely setting. The weather was mixed but we still managed to use the hot tub a few times. The lodge is very spacious and the underfloor heating was great. The only thing I would suggest to enhance our stay would be some sun loungers , the outdoor seating is fine for sitting at the table but not comfortable for anything else. If were in the area again we would definitely book Swandown again.
I usually dont write reviews but i absolutely had to for this place. We absolutely loved our stay at Swandown, we stayed in lodge number 9 which had the most amazing views. We got very lucky with the weather it was so warm, it was really nice to be able to relax outside in the jacuzzi. I do miss the Jacuzzi now Im home. Everywhere was really clean and everything as they show it in the photos. Youre really close to a Tesco and Lidl so its really convenient for the weekly shop. I really enjoyed the swimming pool on the site as you can book it and you can get the pool to yourselves for 40 minutes which was so nice. It really was so peaceful there and I would definitely consider going back. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going

Our 2nd time to Swandown Lodges. We love coming as a family for a really nice chillout! The gentleman who runs it is really friendly and helpful. Lovely to have a hot tub which was well maintained and use of the indoor pool. The lodge is really nicely furnished with dressing gowns, toiletries etc. We even had a nice little Xmas tree. We have stayed at Swandown before. No 9 is perhaps the best lodge on the site. It is certainly in the best position, with outstanding views. We enjoyed our visits down to the Manor House, but only for food and drink. We did not try the other facilities. We have already booked to stay in the same lodge again next year.

We loved our stay here lodge was great, staff were really friendly and welcoming and the estate was beautiful. Our only small gripe was the booking system for the pool we loved being able to book a private session but our daughter was keen to use it and so we booked a slot and organised our day around it, only to find it had been wiped off and someone else was in there during the time wed booked Id taken a photo of the board as my memory is terrible so know we had originally booked it. I do wonder if possibly the wind and rain the night before had caused the booking to be wiped.could an online booking system be used maybe? Overall we did have a brilliant time and would love to return.
