Kibbear Threshing Barn is a 4-star converted farm building just 2 miles south of Taunton in Somerset. This spacious holiday home sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. The heated indoor swimming pool makes this place special even when British weather does its thing. Perfect for families or groups wanting countryside with easy access to everything.

Set on a working farm with stunning views, this place gives you the best of rural Somerset without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The Quantock and Blackdown Hills are right on your doorstep - brilliant for walks and bike rides. Both coasts are within reach too. Fancy a beach day? You've got options from Exmouth to Weston-Super-Mare. The private hot tub will sort out those aching muscles after a day exploring.

The accommodation is split over two floors with underfloor heating throughout. Downstairs features a lounge with French doors, fully equipped kitchen-diner and a twin bedroom with en-suite wet room. Upstairs you'll find a second lounge (because one living room is never enough when the in-laws visit), two king-size bedrooms (one en-suite), another twin room and a family bathroom. The decked balcony with hot tub is where you'll spend your evenings with a glass of something nice.

Kids will love the on-site play area with swings, slides and climbing frame. Taunton offers plenty of shopping and dining options (15 minutes). We really enjoyed our stay! The swimming pool was a lovely bonusand we spent ages relaxing in it. The beds were super comfyand the second lounge was a real highlight. The kitchen was much bigger than it seemed online, which was great for our group. Only thing was, the oven and hot tub didn’t quite fit the number of guests, but overall, we’d come back for sure!

We had a lovely stay at The Thresing Barn with our group of five adults, a little oneand our border terrier. The converted farm was super comfy and practical, plus parking was a breeze. It’s in a great spot for exploring Somerset - loads of attractions nearby by car. Taunton’s just a quick ten-minute drive for shops and restaurants, which was spot on!

We've stayed at Kibbear Farm Barn Conversions twice now, in units 2 and 4. Honestly, a bit of an upgrade wouldn’t hurt - the place itself is lovely but could do with more storage space for all our holiday stuff. The swimming pool was a real hit with the kids, which was brilliant. The Winchester Arms nearby is a cosy spot, perfect for meals or takeawaysand we enjoyed exploring Taunton - it’s a nice town. Clarks Village Outlet is about 25 miles away, so we took a day trip there. Overall, it’s a decent place, tries hard and we’d come back, but some small improvements could make it even better!

We loved the peaceful spot, even if it’s a bit off the beaten path. The four cottages are a good mix of sizes and super comfy beds, which made settling in easy. The indoor pool was a hit with the kidsand there's plenty of parking too. The only downside was the motorway noise, which got a bit loud on a couple of windy days. Overall, we all thought it was a lovely placeand if we come back to the UK, we’d definitely stay here again!

Just a heads up for families with little ones - there are no stair gates and some low windows, so it might not be ideal for under 5s. The highlight was definitely the hot tub and swimming pool - absolute luxury! The nearby pub, Winchester Arms, served great food and welcomed our dogs. The owners were friendly and available if we needed anything, but not intrusive at all.
