About 28 Fore Street

28 Fore Street, a wonderful, four-storey townhouse is located in the heart of Seaton, a coastal town in East Devon. With close proximity to the nearby beach, and a delightful roof terrace this is an ideal choice for larger family groups or friends looking to holiday on the popular Jurassic Coast. Arranged over four floors, the accommodation is an intriguing mix of period character and urban features including polished concrete flooring and exposed brickwork, timbers, and steel beams. The living area on the ground floor is open plan making this a sociable space that everyone can enjoy, with the seating area the perfect spot to sit back and relax after the day’s activities. Step up to the adjoining kitchen/diner where you will find the large dining table perfect for family mealtimes or games nights. The hand-crafted kitchen with concrete work surfaces has a large range style cooker and dishwasher so you can cater for 8 guests with ease. When weather permits, step out through the bi-fold doors to discover the enclosed garden, ideal for a spot of alfresco dining on the furniture provided. The top floor of this riveting house is a wonderful room with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and skylight Velux windows giving you views across Seaton towards the coast. A fantastic chill-out space, there is a corner sofa and chairs with TV in one half of the room and bi-fold doors opening onto a roof terrace with glass balustrading and bar style table and chairs – the perfect spot for evening drinks as you take in the far-reaching views. As the evenings grow darker, retreat to one of the four bedrooms which are arranged over the next two floors. On the first floor, there is a spacious king-size bedroom and a double bedroom, both serviced with a convenient shower room. On the second floor, you will find a second double bedroom and a twin room, complete with a family bathroom. Located in the very heart of popular Seaton just a short stroll away from the seafront and conveniently situated with independent shops, eateries, and attractions close to hand. The mile-long beach is popular with beachgoers whether it's swimming, fishing, or trying some of the water sporting activities on offer including paddle boards and kayaks which are available to hire. Come evening time, the esplanade is a great place to enjoy a gentle walk, have a beach picnic or simply sit with fish and chips in hand while watching the sun setting over the bay. A popular destination to enjoy at any time of the year, the town also boasts a plethora of events to enjoy from the arduous ‘Grizzly’ race to Seaton Eats Boutiques, a monthly mouth-watering food event on the seafront during the summer. For nature lovers, take time to explore Seaton Wetlands and enjoy beautiful marshland and reedbeds alongside the River Axe. There are five bird hides and nearly 4km of level trails and boardwalks suitable for wheelchairs, bikes, and pushchairs. For a more leisurely way to spend an afternoon, hop aboard the Seaton Tram and enjoy a scenic ride to Colyton. For avid walkers, there are numerous coastal walks including the South West Coastal Footpath taking in such sites as Golden Cap as well as popular fishing villages of Beer and Branscombe. The Beer Head to Branscombe stretch offers stunning scenery and rugged clifftop terrain, but those who tread this path can reward themselves with a bite to eat and a beverage at the Masons Arms in the centre of the village before the climb back up to the cliff top path. Whether it’s a relaxing seaside break or a holiday full of adventure, 28 Fore Street is a wonderful base to experience this all.
